A new bakery has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Callejas Cakes, the new addition is located at 3207 E. Shields Ave. in McLane.
Based in Kerman, the family-run business recently expanded with this new location. The bakery provides a wide assortment of menu items such as rugelach (pastries topped with sugar and filled with candied walnuts and apricot preserves), fruit tarts and pink champagne cake.
Planning for a big day? This new spot also provides cakes for all occasions including weddings, birthdays and other special events.
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Lila G., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on April 14th, said: "Very clean facility, good prices and delicious items for sale. The owner let me sample small pastries, which were sooooo freakin' good!!"
Callejas Cakes is now open at 3207 E. Shields Ave., so stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood.
