Craving something healthy? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in Oakland. Called Crave a Bowl, the new fast-casual eatery is located at 3712 Forbes Ave. in a space that formerly housed a Qdoba.
Look forward to six signature bowls or fully customize your own by selecting one of three sizes. Choose from the array of bases (kale, lettuce, quinoa, black rice, black beans and more) and from the wide selection of proteins (roasted pork, chicken, tofu and steak), veggies, sauces and toppings.
Crave a Bowl has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
“The price was very reasonable as the regular bowl was $6.99," said Yelper Eva R., who warned the eatery does not accept cash. "Overall, I would come back to try different creations! The regular bowl was a very filling lunch."
And Lauren W. said, "It was, for the most part, nothing shy of tasty. The options are good, the specialty burrito bowl was filling and it was pretty appetizing. The place is clean and spacious. The ambiance is classic college town restaurant. Worth giving it a shot."
Head on over to check it out: Crave a Bowl is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
