New restaurant Sal Y Limon specializes in regional Mexican fare and comes courtesy of longtime local restaurateurs Jesus, Alexis and Lulis Magaña.

The restaurant features handmade tortillas, slow-cooked pork and, on weekends, offers menudo "a specialty dish that is so time-consuming it is hardly found north of the border," the eatery says on its website.

On the menu, look for Ave Al Arroz (chicken breast prepared with fresh onions, mushrooms, broccoli, bell peppers and carrots in a tomato salsa), as well as vegetarian dishes, desserts and appetizers like bacon-wrapped prawns and shrimp ceviche.

Wash it all down with a drink off of Sal Y Limón's cantina menu, which features tequila cocktails, martinis, beer, wine and sangria, among others. The full-service bar is open seven days a week.

Yelp users are excited about Sal Y Limón, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 36 reviews on the site.

Yelper Seneca G., who reviewed Sal Y Limón on April 9, wrote, "Nice to have some authentic-tasting Mexican food in Lower Queen Anne. There are already a few other options nearby, but none have tortillas or salsa that taste as good."

Mark T. noted, "Super happy to have Sal Y Limón in the neighborhood. ... I recommend any of the Michoacán specialties. We've been there twice and had a nice time both times."

Sal Y Limon is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11-1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The new Rocket Taco is an offshoot of the family-owned eatery's Whidbey Island taqueria and features cocktails, handmade tortillas and menu items inspired by Mexican street food.

Try three traditional tacos for $9 or three deluxe tacos for $12. Fillings include carnitas, quinoa lentil, chicken, cauliflower chickpea, spice-rubbed cod and housemade chorizo with potatoes, among others. Quesadillas, salads and desserts round out the menu.

Rocket Taco currently holds four stars out of 49 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Jared M., who reviewed Rocket Taco on March 22, wrote, "It's the little things that make a taco joint amazing and this place certainly appreciates the little details of a fine taco. We started out with the queso and then got down to some tacos. The queso has some chorizo potato in it, which adds some nice flavor."

April S. added, "As they just recently opened for lunch hours, I stopped in with a few co-workers and we all ordered different tacos. The tacos were positively delicious and incredibly unique in their offerings. Sweet potatoes with pumpkin seeds? Cauliflower with chickpeas? And of course good old carnitas, chicken, beef and fish."

Rocket Taco is open from 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
