Goldberg's Fine Foods is a New York-style bagel shop and deli that serves breakfast all day and offers not-so-traditional po'boys.

With locations all over the greater Atlanta area, this is the regional chain's first outpost outside of Georgia. The eatery serves up more than 30 different kinds of bagels as well as breakfast sandwiches, omelets, salads, burgers and more. Look for sandwiches like the roast brisket, slow-cured ham and the Georgia Reuben made with turkey instead of corned beef.

Goldberg's Fine Foods' current Yelp rating of four stars out of 11 reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

"The food itself is great," Yelper Margery T. said. "It is not gourmet, so don't go in there expecting to have your mind blown with unique, daring spices and preparation techniques. This is a welcome addition to the CBD, and my friends and I couldn't be more excited. Been there four times."

Lenny C. noted, "Saved a hungry flight crew on its second day. Food was great, and I highly recommend the breakfast flatbread. Service was also amazing."

Goldberg's Fine Foods is open 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday, and 7 a.m.–11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

El Libre

Bar and Cuban spot El Libre recently closed its French Quarter location and settled for a new building Uptown with a larger menu.

Look for items like pollo de libre, made with stewed chicken in a mojo marinade served with rice, black beans, corn and avocado, waffle fries, po'boys featuring shredded beef and a Cuban sandwich with slow-roasted pork shoulder.

El Libre's current Yelp rating of five stars out of three reviews indicates positive attention from users.

"This place is amazing," Yelper Konrad K. said. "First and foremost, the friendly and welcoming staff makes it really feel like a neighborhood hangout spot. Much needed in the area. Nice to know there is a local bar making delicious craft drinks, but still keeping a very casual atmosphere while doing so."

Yelper Krista P. noted, "Finally El Libre has opened Uptown. Even better than the French Quarter location. Fresh ingredients, friendly service. Can't wait to come back."

El Libre is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)

Sandwiches include chicken salad on wheat, a veggie wrap with feta and marinated mushrooms, and ham and Swiss with bacon-jalapeño aioli.

Newton's Hot & Cold is off to a strong start with five stars out of seven reviews on Yelp.
