1. Green Dot Stables

Topping the list is bar and New American eatery Green Dot Stables. Located at 2200 W. Lafayette Blvd., the popular local watering hole gets high marks for its affordable prices and high quality, boasting four stars out of 1,562 reviews on Yelp.
Everything on Green Dot's menu is $3 or less, from the long list of sliders (Yelpers recommend the weekly special "mystery meat") and truffle fries to the cocktails and bottles of craft beer.
2. Honey Bee La Colmena

Next up is Mexican grocery store and takeout joint Honey Bee La Colmena, situated at 2443 Bagley St. With 4.5 stars out of 194 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite and is praised for its low prices and the quality and variety of its produce.
Free samples of housemade guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips await patrons at the door, while the large prepared foods section has options like freshly made tacos al pastor, tamales and empanadas.
3. Johnny Noodle King

Pan-Asian noodle spot Johnny Noodle King is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 2601 W. Fort St. near the Ambassador Bridge, four stars out of 540 reviews.
