New pan-Asian eatery Noodle Box has opened its doors in Old Town. Located at 602 King St., the new counter-service spot has taken over the former Asian-fusion fast-food joint Red Mei.

Promoting the new venture on Yelp, the Noodle Box owners say their goal is to offer authentic, made-to-order meals at "no-frills pricing."

Every meal on the menu — including pad thai, drunken noodles and green curry — costs the same, depending on the protein selected: $8.95 for chicken, $9.95 for beef and $10.95 for shrimp. Sides include crispy tofu, fresh rolls and chive dumplings.

With a four-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp so far, Noodle Box has gotten a good response.

Adrienne S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot, gave Noodle Box a four-star nod for some of the changes the new owners have made, like serving healthier fare in sustainable containers and making credit card payments easier.

Giving the new restaurant five stars, Gregg L. said, "The service was very friendly, and the food was great and came out quickly. I am glad to see another fast-casual option in Old Town!"

Head on over to check it out: Noodle Box is open from 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily.
