Sal Y Limon
10 Mercer St., Lower Queen Anne

New restaurant Sal Y Limon specializes in regional Mexican fare and comes courtesy of longtime local restaurateurs Jesus, Alexis and Lulis Magaña.
On the menu, look for Ave Al Arroz (chicken breast prepared with fresh onions, mushrooms, broccoli, bell peppers and carrots in a tomato salsa), as well as vegetarian dishes, desserts and appetizers like bacon-wrapped prawns and shrimp ceviche.
The restaurant features handmade tortillas, slow-cooked pork and, on weekends, offers menudo "a specialty dish that is so time-consuming it is hardly found north of the border," the eatery says on its website.
Wash it all down with a drink off of Sal Y Limón's cantina menu, which features tequila cocktails, martinis, beer, wine and sangria, among others. The full-service bar is open seven days a week.
Sal Y Limon currently holds 4.5 stars out of 40 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Geo's Bar and Grill

Geo's Bar and Grill is serving up traditional Cuban and Caribbean-inspired cuisine. Appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees all line the menu.
Try the medianoche sliders (pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and dill pickles on Hawaiian bread) for a starter before diving into a toasted shrimp po' boy (shrimp sautéed with lemon garlic sauce, tomatoes, peppers and Creole spices and served with cabbage, pickles, Cajun mayo and garlic cilantro aioli).
Diners can indulge in a variety of alcoholic beverages including draft and bottled beer, wine and spirits. Or opt for one of Geo's signature cocktails, like the Darling Nikki (Rittenhouse rye, elderflower, lemon and lavender), or a classic like the Blue Hawaiian (Don Q rum, blue curacao, pineapple and coconut). The bar menu includes options such as spicy garlic shrimp, gumbo and a pork Cubano sandwich.

Tacos Chukis

Score tacos and more at the newest Tacos Chukis in Beacon Hill, the third location for the Capitol Hill-born eatery, per Eater.
Taco fillings include pork, beef, chicken, beans and prickly pear cactus. Grab the house tacos complete with marinated pork, melted cheese, guacamole and grilled pineapple at this quick-service spot. Other options on the menu include mulitas (meat and cheese between two tortillas), baby burritos, quesadillas and tortas.
With a 4.5-star Yelp rating out of 60 reviews on Yelp, Tacos Chukis has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Melody L., who was one of the first users to visit Tacos Chukis on May 21, wrote, "As usual, Taco Chukis kills it with that amazing roasted pineapple on top of deliciously flavored adobo. My husband and I love Taco Chukis in Capitol Hill, and this new location serves it up just as well without any disappointment."

Gold Bar

Gold Bar is a cocktail bar that offers a variety of beverages and light Latin-inspired fare. Chef Manu Alfau, owner of Manu's Bodega and Manu's Tacos, is behind the menu, which includes finger foods and tacos.
There are 11 house cocktails available, ranging from bourbon and whiskey to tequila and mezcal. Try the Jersey Republic, which includes Laird's Straight apple brandy with black walnut bitters, or Gold Rush, which includes bourbon, lemon and honey on the rocks. The drink menu also features local and international wine and beer options, as well as nonalcoholic beverages.
Yelpers are liking the new arrival, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 22 reviews.
Yelper Robert F., who reviewed Gold Bar on May 25, wrote, "This place is awesome. There is a great cocktail menu and the bartenders are super knowledgeable. If you want to order off the menu, they can accommodate that as well."
