New cigar lounge and bar opens its doors in the North ShorePhoto: BURN By Rocky Patel/Yelp

A new cigar lounge, cocktail bar and live music venue has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 346 N. Shore Drive in the North Shore, the fresh arrival is called Burn By Rocky Patel, and is the second location after the original established in Florida.

"We want to change the stereotype of a cigar bar," owner Rocky Patel told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "It's not only a cigar lounge. It's a beautiful space for people to come and enjoy. They will have an opportunity to smoke a cigar, but they can also enjoy a cocktail, great food and amazing entertainment."

Cigar aficionados can choose from a selection of 500 cigars from 19 countries, and smoking is permitted indoors. Ball caps, sweatpants and sneakers, however, are not, and men are asked to wear button-down shirts.

The lounge also offers food items like ginger-candied bacon satay and sweet potato gnocchi with brown butter, sage and apples. (Take a look at the menu here.)

With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Burn By Rocky Patel is getting solid feedback from early patrons.

"It has outdoor seating, a ton of seating inside, lots of TVs, a variety of cigars for sale, classy decor, a good drink and food menu, and the wait staff was attentive," Yelper Christine T. said

But Yelper Kevin C. warned other customers to beware of the dress code: "The door was graciously opened for us, only to be told we could not come in because I was wearing a hat and T-shirt."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Burn By Rocky Patel is open from 2 p.m.–2 a.m. daily.
