Aburiya Bento House

Near Pike Place Market, Aburiya Bento House is a sushi bar that offers poke, bento boxes and other Japanese fare. 

Poke selections include the tuna, salmon or mixed bowl with sweet corn, seaweed salad, crab meat, edamame, cucumber, tomato and radish. Pair your poke with saké and a side of miso soup, tempura udon or shrimp dumplings.

Aburiya Bento House's current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of 21 reviews indicates positive attention from users.

"Amazing and creative rolls, great poke and friendly staff," said Yelp reviewer Boris C. "I have been three times and everything I have tried has been fresh and delicious. Highly recommend."

And Stephen P. wrote, "Best poke in Seattle. Even great gyoza and shumai as appetizers. So many great flavors and such high quality fish."

Aloha Cup Bap

Sure to be popular with the campus crowd, Aloha Cup Bap is conveniently located near Seattle University. 

The new counter-service eatery offers eight poke bowls with either tuna or salmon and a choice of sushi rice, mixed grain rice or organic mixed greens. Try the Aloha with house-made sweet sauce or the Kraken with spicy kimchi. Breakfast bowls, hand rolls, salads and several hot options — including the Piggy Belly with crispy baked pork — are also available. 

Aloha Cup Bap's current Yelp rating of four stars out of 32 reviews indicates the newcomer has received a warm response thus far.

Yelper Olivia S., who reviewed Aloha Cup Bap on April 22, wrote, "Excellent poke shop! Ran by a father and daughter team from Hawaii. You know the food is authentic. Clean place and laid-back atmosphere. As other reviews have stated, the fish is flown in from Hawaii and not frozen. You can taste the difference."

Connie A. said, "It is really clean, which is a must for any poke shop or any establishments that serve raw food. There's seriously so many poke shops popping up in Seattle that I can't keep up, but Aloha Poke will definitely be a regular for me."

Poke N Roll

The new fast-casual Poke N Roll has popped up in a small storefront that previously housed a Subway.

The fresh new offering features customizable poke bowls with a wide selection of protein options, including tuna, octopus, Spam and tilapia. Round out your meal with a side of kimchi, air-fried gyoza or shrimp. 

Poke N Roll currently holds 4.5 stars out of 41 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

"Solid poke place!" Yelper Jenna P. wrote. "I looooove their Korean Spicy bowl ($8.99), and as a Korean I can say they are legit. The sauce is always on point, and the portion size is generous for the price."

Karmen D. said, "They were very generous with their avocado unlike other poke places. A well-rounded poke place that is less expensive than other ones around Seattle!"

Poke N Roll is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Poke Lover

Poke Lover continues its Seattle expansion, with its third outpost in the city.

The newest location has a relaxed vibe with exposed brick, several wooden tables and a feature wall of colorful flowers. 

To build a customized poke bowl, start with a base of white rice, spring mix or brown rice; select from an array of protein options like ahi tuna, scallops, eel and more; and then finish the bowl off with unlimited toppings (avocado, wasabi, ginger, tofu, crispy onions, among others).

Yelp users are excited about Poke Lover, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 63 reviews on the site.

"I love this place! I have been here three times and it hasn't disappointed me yet," raved Yelper Samantha O., who reviewed the new location on May 3. "Before this place I had only had poke at a place in San Jose, Calif., and I wasn't fond of it — this place changed my mind!"

Michelle R. noted, "Instead of seafood, you can pack your bowl or salad with tofu and an assortment of veggies! If you dine in, you get complimentary miso soup."
