Deep Sea Sugar & Salt
6601 Carleton Ave. S, Georgetown

Deep Sea Sugar & Salt is a spot to score cupcakes and custom cakes.
Charlie Dunmire started Deep Sea Sugar & Salt and has, until recently, sold her custom creations out of an Airstream trailer. Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign from dedicated fans and customers, which raised over $37,000, Dunmire and her cakes have expanded into Carleton Avenue Grocery, Eater reports. The trailer will also remain open.
Deep Sea Sugar & Salt offers 13 flavors that can be purchased as a 6-inch cake ($45), 9-inch cake ($65) or as a dozen cupcakes ($45). Flavors include chocolate salted caramel, pistachio lemon and s'mores, as well as unique combinations like the London Fog, an Earl Grey tea-infused cake with honey and Earl Grey syrup, bergamot mascarpone cream and cream cheese frosting.
So far, Deep Sea Sugar & Salt has earned two Yelp reviews regarding the new brick-and-mortar location, one offering five stars and another offering three.
On May 20, Marie B. wrote, "Cute interior, like it had been here a long time. And the neighborhood has welcomed this new business with enthusiasm. ... Yes, it's so worth it. Go now, treat yourself or someone you like a lot, savor, repeat often."
And Jackie B. said, "Good cake, but small slices and not so friendly service."
Deep Sea Sugar & Salt is open from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday).
4th Ave Espresso Bar
411 University St., Downtown

4th Ave Espresso Bar is a cafe and bakery, offering macarons, cakes, coffee and more in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
4th Ave Espresso Bar changes its menu daily to reflect the latest seasonal ingredients available and to give customers fresh options upon every visit, the business notes on its website. Also expect traditional java drinks, including drip coffees and lattes.
4th Ave Espresso Bar's current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of three reviews indicates positive attention from users thus far.
Yelper Charbel K., who reviewed 4th Ave Espresso Bar on May 26, wrote, "Great coffee, greater selection of savory and sweet items. Desserts are fantastic, especially the exotic mango, and the lemon yuzu tart."
Yelper BurienRon .. wrote, "Delightful elegant little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Seattle. Independent, too, and not part of some huge monopoly. Delightful treats and sandwiches available."

Blank Space Cafe
7214 Woodlawn Ave. NE, Green Lake

Blank Space Cafe is a spot to score bubble tea and desserts.
Guests can choose between 32 flavors of milk tea, like coffee, honey, peach or sesame, and select their ideal sweetness level to form their hot or cold beverage. There are also slushies and smoothies on the menu.
As for bites, Blank Space Cafe offers a wide range of macarons, waffles and thick slices of toast that can be topped with ice cream scoops and other sugary toppings, like mochi, sprinkles and Oreos.
With a 4.5-star Yelp rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp, Blank Space Cafe has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Cindy F., who was one of the first users to visit Blank Space Cafe on April 29, wrote, "The bubble waffle is so good. Get the mochi. Limited seating and calm atmosphere, but not too busy."
Kristen B. noted, "Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon as I love bubble tea. They have a really nice menu selection, and I went with the peach slushy with boba. It was delicious and so refreshing."
