If you love live music, there's no time like the present when it comes to getting out and about in Seattle. From Scottish pop to classic reggae to Latin ska, here are the local shows worth checking out this week.

Trashcan Sinatras

This Scottish indie-pop group, which has been active since the late '80s, is coming to Seattle on a "One Night, Two Albums" tour, in which they'll play their 1990 debut record Cake and its follow-up, 1993's I've Seen Everything, front to back. They'll fill out the rest of the show with a selection of other songs from their extensive catalog, including 2015's Wild Pendulum. In a bonus for parents, kids 10 and under are welcome to attend this show free.

Freddie McGregor & The Big Ship Band

For nearly 50 years, Grammy-nominated reggae singer Freddie McGregor has toured the globe, playing hits like "I Was Born a Winner," "Lock Dem' Down" and "Bangarang." A pioneer of the Philly Soul style, he's known for his socially conscious lyrics and strong vocal abilities. 

When: Thursday, June 21, 8 p.m.- Friday, June 22, 2 a.m.

Black Milk

Genre-bending Detroit hip-hop producer, rapper and performer Black Milk has released seven solo albums, a handful of EPs and instrumental projects, and has collaborated with numerous artists, including Jack White, Danny Brown and Slum Village. His latest album, Fever, fuses electronic programming with samples and live music to create socially conscious reflections on the current political and cultural landscape.

Panteón Rococó

Touring for more than two decades, this nine-member Latin ska group has earned acclaim for its combination of rock and punk with traditional Latin sounds, and its political bent.

Ozomatli

Hailing from Los Angeles, this eclectic group spans styles from classic to modern Latino, urban, hip-hop and other world music. Their latest record is Nonstop Mexico to Jamaica, which reimagines classic Mexican hits reimagined with a reggae feel. Produced by drum & bass reggae legends, Sly & Robbie, the album aims to remix classic Latin hits with a reggae dancehall vibe.

When: Saturday, June 23, 8 p.m.- Sunday, June 24, 2 a.m.
