Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places to visit in the sports-centric North Shore, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of neighborhood businesses. Read on for the results.
1. Burgatory

Topping the list is Burgatory, a spot to score burgers and more. Located at 342 N. Shore Dr., it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting four stars out of 223 reviews on Yelp.
"One of my top restaurants for burgers," wrote reviewer Jenna M. "Every time I go, I am able to try something different on my burger. Their custom-made burger option allows you to select the meat, bun type, rub applied to the meat, a variety of condiments, the toppings and cheese"

"I had an undisclosed amount of Yuengling on draft and the Piggy Butter & Jelly was the most strangely awesome thing that I have eaten in a long time. No joke, it's wonderful. Candied Bacon, peanut butter, habanero jelly on a burger. So good."
"On top of the awesome burgers they have a pretty solid happy hour," added Lexi N. "They have some discount appetizers and drinks."
2. Southern Tier Brewing

Next up is brewery Southern Tier Brewing, situated at 316 N. Shore Dr. With four stars out of 186 reviews on Yelp, it's a proven local favorite.
"Southern Tier is an awesome place to have here in Pittsburgh," wrote Kerry M. "It's one of my favorite places to grab a beer in the North Shore. It's best to come on a week night when there isn't an event happening."
"My favorites have been the wings and the pretzel bites," added Yelper Amanda A. "Pro tip: you can ask for beer cheese instead or in addition to the mustard that comes with the pretzels."
Wes N. wrote, "This is a really cool spot, especially now that the outdoor area is open. Went here after a Pirates game and was surprised to see the large outdoor area open."
3. Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse

Steakhouse Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 247 N. Shore Dr., four stars out of 167 reviews.
"Enjoyed a lump crab cake to start out my meal, it was beyond the best crab cake I've ever had," wrote Yelper Heather N. "The red sauce they plate it with took it to the next level."
"We love it here and always will come back," added Derek M. "They are friendly and accommodating. The food is always on point and the steaks are phenomenal."
4. Beerhead Bar

Beerhead Bar is another neighborhood go-to, with four stars out of 123 Yelp reviews. Head over to 110 Federal St. — Boggs Building — to see for yourself.
"A great place to stop and get a drink when you're in the North Shore. Very convenient to PNC Park, and tons of seating as well. The selection of beer is absolutely ridiculous. I've never seen so much variety," wrote reviewer Katie W.
"No kitchen, which some people don't like, but I view it as an opportunity," wrote Monica D. "BYOF: they let you bring food from wherever or get it delivered while you sip on the best beer selection in the North Shore."
5. Slice On Broadway

Check out Slice On Broadway, which has earned four stars out of 35 reviews on Yelp. You can find the spot to score salads, pizza and sandwiches at 115 Federal St.
"The slices are huge. The crust is perfect. Cheese tastes good. And finally a place that heats your slice up hot but not so hot you have to wait 10 minutes to eat it," wrote Yelper Alyssia B.
