A new pilates spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to South Lake Union, called Pilates ProWorks, is located at 771 Thomas St.

Founded in San Francisco in 2009 by Oscar Sanin and Taylor Carter, the fitness chain has arrived in Seattle.

40 Works, the main class currently offered at the location, is an intense 40-minute workout where all participants get their own machine. It combines resistance, lengthening, strength training and cardio, according to the business' website.

Pilates ProWorks has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Kathleen L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 2, said, "This is a great new studio, finally PPW comes to Seattle! So far I've had three different instructors and all of them were really good and very helpful with adjustments and suggestions."

Yelper Alexandra K. added, “I was so excited to find out Pilates ProWorks opened in Seattle! I was a big fan in San Francisco and the experience at this studio was equally as enjoyable. The studio is clean, airy and open."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Pilates ProWorks is open from 6 a.m.–7 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m. on Friday, and 8–11 a.m. on weekends.
