Editor Consignment is a women's consignment clothing boutique operated by Emily Schikora, a writer and curator who came to Seattle by way of Alaska. She's the "editor" in the name, organizing a selection of "contemporary recycled fashion, locally made jewelry and ceramics, and a rotating selection of essays and prose ... that celebrates the feminine experience."

Editor Consignment's current Yelp rating of five stars out of three reviews indicates positive attention from users.

Yelper Laura M., who reviewed Editor Consignment on June 6, wrote, "What a gem tucked away in Ballard. Beautiful shop, well lit and organized. Really enjoyed our shopping experience there. My daughter and I both found items that were perfect for us, and at a great price."

Jessica V. noted, "Super cute consignment shop with great customer service! I just got my new favorite cardigan there! Highly recommend!"

Editor Consignment is open from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Wednesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)

The latest addition to Ballard's booming beer district, Trailbend Taproom offers 42 taps of primarily local beers and ciders, with a few from more distant locales. Try the house brew, Stoup Brewing's Trailbend IPA, or sample something unusual like Ten Pin's Snake Eye stout. Wine, kombucha, ginger beer and a rotating cocktail (currently a negroni) are also on draft.

On the menu, you'll find pizzas like the Palisade (pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, zucchini, red onion, chevre, oregano), sandwiches like a meatball sub and a big selection of salads. There's a kid's menu for young visitors, and housemade gelato for everyone for dessert.

Trailbend Taproom's current Yelp rating of four stars out of 24 reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Yelper Ashley N., who reviewed Trailbend Taproom on May 5, wrote, "Came here during their soft opening and really enjoyed the beer selection. Returned about a month later and was even more impressed."

Yelper Kelsey B. wrote, "Damn, Trailbend, you are one beautiful restaurant. Located near a bunch of the other breweries and beer halls in Ballard, Trailbend really stands out because of its beautiful decor, great tap list, and delicious pizza!"

Trailbend Taproom is open from 3 p.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, noon–1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–midnight on Sunday.
