Looking for a new spot to buy, rent and play video games? A new business is here to help. The fresh arrival to Waltham, called Game Underground, is located at 349 Moody St.
Previously located in the Natick Mall, Game Underground has expanded to a larger location with the same mission: helping video game lovers play all their favorite games.
The store offers games and consoles dating from the Atari and Nintendo era to the present for gamers to buy, sell or trade, and also has vintage arcade consoles on-site for customers to play.
Gaming enthusiasts can also try out a variety of titles on the shop's 50" flat-screen TVs, or rent a TV to host a gaming party for a birthday or other event. The shop hosts tournaments as well.
With a four-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer has made a promising start.
Alex P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 16, wrote, "This place is amazing! Jaime and Alana run the business and are the nicest people and knowledgeable, too."
And Katelyn K. wrote, "It really depends on what you are looking for when you come here. We stopped in to check out the retro game selection. For DS games they had a pretty decent selection, same with Playstation 2/3."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Game Underground is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
