A new fast-casual cafe serving up healthful fare has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 167 N. Old Woodward Ave. in downtown Birmingham, the new arrival is called Grabbagreen.

The chain was established in 2013 and has locations around the United States. This is its first eatery in Michigan. Grabbagreen, which touts its sustainability practices and wholesome ingredients, offers smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, wraps and açaí bowls.

Look for menu options like The Energy Elevator smoothie with agave, banana, espresso and whey protein; the Detox juice with beets, celery, cucumber, lemon and parsley; and the French Quarter bowl with avocado, shrimp, brown rice and spinach.

The new addition has a five-star rating based on two Yelp reviews.

Ashley C., who reviewed the eatery on June 13, said she had positive experience with a catering order. "When the food arrived, he was a little early, offered to set up and serve as well! The food was all fresh, and every single modification was correct."

Yelper Alexa A. added, “Favorite new place. Everything is super fresh and tasty! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly while being quick with my order! Definitely the best new spot to check out.”
