A verbal disagreement between two men in the Mission escalated to a shooting that sent one of them to a hospital.

The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. this morning on the 2000 block of Mission Street where the suspect, a 40-year-old man, and the victim, 55, were engaged in a dispute.

The suspect reportedly took out a handgun and fired at the victim before fleeing the scene. The injured man was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, and the suspect has not been arrested.
