If you've got Caribbean cuisine on the mind, this recent opening should be on your radar. Called Musa, the new family-owned restaurant serves up Caribbean and Cajun fare and is located at 2318 Broadway Ave. in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood.

Menu items include bacon-wrapped pork stuffed with mixed greens, cheese and pimento and served with chimichurri grilled vegetables; seafood gumbo, made New Orleans style with a dark roux and andouille sausage; and the West Indies chicken curry served with paratha roti and white rice.

Musa has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

Todd D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 18, said, "Excellent service, staff, food and drinks. I had the recommended seafood gumbo for my entree and the tres leches for dessert — delicious! The pricing is very reasonable and they have parking. The place was hopping on a Friday night."

Yelper Jamie R. said, "I'm very excited about Musa! Its tile floor and colorful walls (plus an extremely friendly staff) almost make you feel like you're in the Caribbean. Oh yeah, and $5 mojitos!"

Intrigued? Stop in to try its Caribbean and Cajun dishes for yourself. Musa is open from 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday and 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
