A new hair salon and barbershop has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to West Highland, called Bishops Cuts/Color, is located at 3550 W. 38th Ave., Suite 40.
Its services include haircuts, coloring, shaves, beard trimming, shampoo, conditioning and more. See a full list of services on the salon's website. It also offers a free beer when you visit.
Established in 2001 in Portland, the business has locations around the country and says it's "all about celebrating our differences" and offering an inclusive environment.
The newcomer has garnered positive reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Rory F., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on May 15, said, "Since the prices are so reasonable here, I wasn't too sure of how my hair would turn out. I love this place. I've now been here a number of times for cuts and colors and now I've added weekly blowouts. The prices are fantastic, the staff very knowledgeable and they have free beer."
Yelper Cary L. added, “This is just not another hair salon, it's fun, the staff is knowledgeable and works with you to find just the right color whether it's for a fun new color or finding your style."
