1. Max's Taphouse

Topping the list is Max's Taphouse. Located at 735 S. Broadway in Fells Point, it's the highest rated gastropub in Baltimore, boasting four stars out of 526 reviews on Yelp.

The bar at Max's Taphouse is stocked with five casks, more than 100 taps and 1,000 bottles.

And from the kitchen patrons can order a variety of house favorites, like crab sliders topped with spicy creole aioli, quesadillas stuffed with mac and cheese, and the Max's Cheesesteak Sub with mushrooms, fried onions, lettuce, tomato and American cheese. The full menu is available here.

2. Of Love & Regret

Next up is Canton's Of Love & Regret, situated at 1028 S. Conkling St. With four stars out of 263 reviews on Yelp, the pub has proven to be a local favorite.

Here, Yelpers praise the craft beer selection, handcrafted cocktails and crab cakes, as well as the friendly and attentive service. 

3. Hamilton Tavern

Glenham-Belford's Hamilton Tavern, located at 5517 Harford Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the pub four stars out of 239 reviews.

Come try one of the eatery's many "munchies" — like fried dill pickle chips, steamed mussels, and confit wings with queso fresco, shaved crudités, cilantro and ancho mole sauce.

4. Wet City

Wet City, a gastropub in Mid-Town Belvedere, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 74 Yelp reviews. Head on over to 223 W. Chase St. to see for yourself.

On tap at Wet City is a rotating selection of local craft beers, like the Three Hour Tour triple IPA by Burley Oak, the Mean Old Tom stout on nitro from Maine Beer Company and Ithaca's apricot wheat.

5. Park Bench Pub

Over in Riverside Park, check out Park Bench Pub, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 29 reviews on Yelp. You can find it at 1749 Belt St.

Here, Yelpers rave about the small, yet regularly changing, selection of draft beers and sushi rolls, which rotate daily.
