A York City man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection with a string of armed robberies that hit convenience stores and a gas station across the city, with investigators alleging one worker was stabbed repeatedly and others were threatened at gunpoint. Clyde Fa, identified by the York Daily Record as 45 years old, was indicted in connection with robberies that took place between Oct. 20 and Dec. 12, 2025.
According to York Daily Record, the indictment alleges Fa committed five armed robberies and one attempted robbery.
Daily Voice lists Snack and Smoke in the 1200 block of East Philadelphia Street, Smoke and Chill in the 100 block of East Princess Street, a Dollar General in the 200 block of North Sherman Street and a Sunoco gas station in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue among the locations involved in the case. Investigators say some of the businesses robbed were targeted more than once during the spree.
Allegations of a Stabbing and Gunpoint Threats
Police allege Fa stabbed a worker repeatedly during one of the incidents, per the same account. Investigators also allege he threatened other workers with a firearm during separate robberies, and the indictment states Fa possessed and brandished a Glock semi-automatic handgun throughout the spree.
The indictment further alleges Fa was prohibited from possessing a firearm at all because of a previous felony conviction, according to the report. At the time the robberies were allegedly occurring, Fa was wanted for an alleged parole violation stemming from a separate homicide case, the outlet reported.
Arrest Followed a December Robbery
York City Police arrested Fa in December 2025 in connection with the robberies, per the York Daily Record's reporting. Daily Voice reported that Fa was taken into custody immediately following a robbery in the 100 block of North Queen Street that same month.
Fa's age is disputed: the York Daily Record identifies him as 45, while the Crimewatch/York City Police Department narrative identified him as 44 years old at the time of arrest. Similarly, court-related reporting places the spree's start on Oct. 20, consistent with Local 21 News' report that it began Oct. 20.
Potential Federal Penalties
Fa now faces a firearms possession charge in addition to the robbery counts. The U.S. Attorney's Office says robbery under federal law carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
Having a firearm during a robbery carries a maximum federal penalty of life in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, while being a felon in possession of a firearm carries a maximum of 15 years. Fa was indicted by a federal grand jury for the string of robberies as well as firearms offenses.
