Hello Shawarma is a Mediterranean eatery that's located at 12197 Conant St. in Hamtramck. There's a wide assortment of fare for both vegetarians and carnivores alike.

Start off with hummus, lamb-stuffed grape leaves or rice almond salad. Entrees include falafel sandwiches, chicken and beef shawarma wraps, shish kebabs (marinated and charbroiled lamb or beef tenderloin) and sauteed shrimp with carrots, peppers, onions, mushroom and tomatoes.

"Delicious falafel sandwiches and the fries were so good," wrote Yelper J S. "They have a million different sauces to choose from, so I'm excited to go back and try a wide array. Friendly service and awesome name."

Now open at 3627 Cass Ave. in Midtown is Rocco's Italian Deli, a place to find specialty groceries, sandwiches, salads and vegetarian options.

Menu items include the meatball sub with marinara, mozzarella and grated Parmesan, The Breast Chicken Parm (fried chicken cutlet, marinara, mozzarella and grated Parmesan) and the sausage sandwich. Wash down your meal with coffee, wine, beer or a featured cocktail. (See the full menu here.)

Take it from Yelp reviewer Sarah S., who wrote, "Cool atmosphere and an outdoor patio. Make sure you check this place out for dinner or lunch, it's so good sometimes they sell out! Open late on weekends. Great flavors and amazing service. Portions are huge!"
