
A new restaurant and bar serving modern American cuisine has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Station Square Kitchen + Bar, it is located at 1317 Coolidge Highway in Troy, in the space that formerly housed Papa Vino's Italian Kitchen.
This new offering bills itself as "an upscale casual restaurant," per its website. On the menu, appetizers include pork belly tostadas and calamari with lemon-chive aioli. Look for entrees like lamb chops, New York strip steak, barbecue ribs and chicken Florentine. Pasta, burgers, pizza, soups and salads are also available.
The full-service bar features beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails.
The fresh arrival has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp.
Elana S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 23, wrote, "What a pleasant surprise to find such a fabulous replacement to the old Papa Vinos on Coolidge in Troy. ... Service was great and the manager even stopped by to check on our food."
And Grace D. wrote, "Fabulous new restaurant right in Troy. So glad we stopped in for dinner. Everything we had was cooked perfectly. The service is top notch."
