A new Asian fusion restaurant offering Vietnamese fare and poke bowls has opened in the neighborhood. Head to Overbrook to check out Vietsburgh Foodies at 2739 Library Road.
Build your own poke bowl by choosing a base (white rice, brown rice or greens), protein (spicy tuna, seared salmon and tofu, to name a few), veggies and toppings like edamame, masago and tempura crisps.
The restaurant also offers fried chicken with choice of sauce, salads, soups like phở, rice and noodle dishes, and a selection of Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches. View the full menu on the restaurant's Facebook page.
There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars.
Kimberly T., who reviewed the new spot on April 26, wrote, "Our meal was delicious! We will definitely go back. I want to try the fried chicken and my hubby wants to create a poke bowl. They use fresh and local ingredients."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Vietsburgh Foodies is open from 3:30-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 3:30 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
