Three B's Burger & Wine Bar

Topping the list is Three B's Burger & Wine Bar, an American spot offering burgers, more than 20 beers, a robust wine selection, cocktails and more.

Get ready for small plates like fried oysters with pickled squash slaw and cocktail butter; poke bowls with avocado and fried peanuts; and head-on fried shrimp with grits and mirliton pickles. The selection of burgers includes toppings like caramelized onions, chili and smoked poblano relish. There are also sandwiches like Creole fried chicken with coleslaw and chipotle mayo; and smoked turkey with bacon and Creole tomatoes. 

Three B's Burger & Wine Bar's current Yelp rating of 3.5 stars out of 13 reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

"Overall I'm just not super impressed with the food, but I realize they just opened and things will get better," Yelper Patricia R. wrote. "The waitstaff was excellent and our waitress was wonderful. Her attitude was positive and she was super attentive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the location is fantastic."

Yelper M L. added, "If you are craving a good burger with a nice glass of wine or beer, this is a good spot. Try the special sauces and the special cocktails as well."

Madam's Modern Kitchen + Bar

Next up is Madam's Modern Kitchen + Bar, a Cajun/Creole and New American spot, offering seafood, cocktails and more.

Located in the old Storyville neighborhood, this eatery offers breakfast fare like buttermilk pancakes with berries and whipped cream; avocado toast with a sunny side-up egg; and bottomless cereal bowls. Lunch options include jumbo shrimp cocktails, burgers and wild mushroom ravioli; and for dinner check out seared tuna with asparagus, adobo braised pork shanks with coconut rice and crawfish ravioli with wild mushrooms.

So far Madam's Modern Kitchen + Bar currently holds five stars out of three reviews on Yelp.

"This place is just amazing," Yelper Angela B. said. "The food is good and great tasting. The raw oysters and the mojitos are the best. I will definitely come back."

Yelper Trammel A. noted, "Great food and atmosphere. The charbroiled oysters were delicious, the service was fast and the attendants were friendly."

Madam's Modern Kitchen + Bar is open from 7 a.m.–11 a.m. on Monday, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 7 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 7 a.m.–2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Klutch Bargrill

Klutch Bargrill is a traditional American spot located just a few blocks away from the legendary Rock 'N' Bowl live music venue and bowling alley.

After catching The Funky Meters or Papa Grows Funk while bowling a few frames on a Friday or Saturday night, cruise down the street for burgers, hot sausage sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks and Buffalo wings. The establishment also serves shrimp, chicken or beef tacos; jumbo shrimp with fries and toast; and fried catfish and shrimp combos. 

Klutch Bargrill has received one five-star review on Yelp.

Yelper Jordan L. wrote, "The food was really good and actually fairly cheap. You can't get a good shrimp po'boy at many places for $8.99. Glad to have these guys around as a good late-night place to get grub."

Klutch Bargrill is open from 11:30 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m.–1 a.m. on Sunday.

Jayne's Bistro & Bar

Last but not least is Jayne's Bistro & Bar, a beer bar and Cajun/Creole spot, offering sandwiches and more in The Troubadour Hotel.

This new haunt features weekend happy hour and serves up items like poached eggs on toasted brioche with andouille sausage; buttermilk pancakes with praline pecan butter; smoked wings with Caribbean-spiced cherry-mango compote; traditional gumbo; burgers with tomato-bacon jam and fontina cheese; and beer-brined smoked chicken. 

With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp, Jayne's Bistro & Bar has been well received by the locals.

"Even if I weren't staying at the Troubadour Hotel, I'd come here for the breakfast," Yelper Andrea G. wrote. "It serves wonderful omelets, has friendly service and a world-class chef."

Yelper Corey F. noted, "This is a newly renamed restaurant with a new menu. The food was delish. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered and ate every bit."
