1. Chan Seattle

Topping the list is Chan Seattle in Pike Place Market. This place offers traditional Korean dishes using Western ingredients such as beef tartare, bulgogi beef sliders with cucumber kimchi and chili mayo and Korean fried chicken wings. Located at 86 Pine St. at the Inn at the Market courtyard, the Korean spot is the highest rated gastropub in Seattle, boasting 4.5 stars out of 726 reviews on Yelp.
With a kitchen helmed by South Korean-born chef Heong Soon Park, the gastropub says it aims to provide "diners an outstanding array of powerful flavors which blend spicy, salty, sour, sweet and umami on the plate," according to its website.

2. Black Bottle

Next up is Belltown's Black Bottle, situated at 2600 First Ave. (between Cedar and Vine streets). With four stars out of 1,038 reviews on Yelp, the gastropub and New American spot has proven to be a local favorite. Established in 2005, the establishment describes itself as Seattle's first gastropub.
The extensive menu includes meat, seafood and vegetarian entrees as well as flatbreads, desserts and gluten-free options. Look for notable items like pulled pork tacos, lamb meatballs, seven spice shrimp and vegetarian burrata arugula salad with figs and walnuts. See the menu here.

Known for its housemade sourdough and handcrafted cocktails, stop in for happy hour from 4-6 p.m. and 10 p.m.-midnight daily. Happy hour menu options include mac and cheese, wild Alaskan cod tacos and Cuban pork avocado pizza.
At lunch and dinner, check out the Alaskan fish and chips; Von's signature grain bowl with romaine, sweet balsamic vinaigrette, apple, cherries, blue cheese, brown sugar and black walnuts; or a burger with iceberg lettuce, sugar bacon, cheddar and special sauce.
