A Canadian clothing retailer has opened its first gallery concept store in Back Bay. Called Roots Legends, the new arrival is located at 344 Newbury St.

Roots is an apparel, leather goods, accessories and footwear company that was founded in the 1970s. The company deems this latest outlet on Newberry Street a "sensory retail experience" in which interactive art exhibits tell the stories of the brand and its most iconic products.

You'll find the brand's Salt & Pepper sweats, fleeces, handbags and letterman's jackets, with the opportunity to have badges and patches added in the store.

It's still early days for the new store — it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.

Sean P., who reviewed it on July 15, wrote, "[The staff was] extremely amiable, helpful and enthusiastic. They walked me through the exhibits, explaining the concept and space. They assisted me with selecting what to buy and made recommendations."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Roots Legends is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.
