A new fast-food burger joint has opened its doors in Dearborn. Called Casper Burger & Escalope, the fresh addition is located at 5959 Schaefer Road and has an additional outpost in Sterling Heights.
The casual eatery serves up a wide variety of burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries and subs. Standout offerings include the Original Burger topped with fries, tomato, onion, lettuce and cheese; the Ghost Dog with chili, cheese, onion and mustard; and the beef shawarma sub.
Or try a creatively topped hot dog like the Cheetos Dog or another buried under fried shrimp, mushrooms and cheese. Round out your meal with chicken wings, shrimp bites or the One-Eyed Fries with egg, mushrooms and more.
The newcomer has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Alina A., who reviewed the burger spot on June 20, wrote, "Looking for creativity in burgers? If yes, try Casper. This place offers unique burgers with loaded fries and sesame seed buns. The meat is extra juicy along with tender sauce."
Yelper Sue N. wrote, "We got two original sandwiches — one escalope and one meat burger ... every bite was juicy, the meat was fresh. Plus the burger is huge. When I cut it in half it was a size of a normal burger and for the price it's honestly worth it."
