Head over to 44 S. 17th St. near Rittenhouse Square for Wiki Poké Philly. The fast-casual poke spot lets you design your own bowl from a menu of ingredients by choosing a base (rice or greens), protein (salmon, tuna, tofu), veggies (romaine lettuce, seaweed salad, avocado) and toppings like cucumber, onions or sesame seeds. Or choose from one of the signature bowls. So far, the eatery has been well-received: It's got a five-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp.

Now open at 1001 S. 17th St. in Graduate Hospital is L'anima, a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant from the same team behind Melograno and Fraschetta. Their latest undertaking showcases Roman cuisine, with special emphasis on seafood. Consider the carbonara di mare: a pasta specialty consisting of sea urchin, shirred farm egg sauce, pistachio, black pepper, Parmigiano and garum. (You can view the full menu here.)
