Get flash-frozen ice cream at Adams Morgan's new NicecreamPhoto: Nicecream/Yelp

Craving extra creamy ice cream? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1787 Columbia Road NW in Adams Morgan, the new arrival is called Nicecream.

The small, local chain is part of the new wave of ice creameries that use liquid nitrogen to flash-freeze your dessert in front of you. The company also says that it sources its cream and other ingredients locally. Flavors on the menu at the Adams Morgan location this week include: Wild Blueberry Mint Cobbler, Key Lime Pie, Bananas Foster, Nutella, Purely Pistachio, Vanilla Bean, Milk Chocolate Chunk and a rotating special.

The first reviewer is impressed.

Lisa Y., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 21, wrote, "Went here today for opening day! Oh my god, this ice cream is really not like what I have had before. It's dense and creamy. What sold me was that they use real foods t flavor their ice cream. Real nutella, real pistachios, real banana, real honey."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Nicecream is open from 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
