In need of some comic books or collectible items? A new business has you covered. The new addition, called Counterplay Comics, Collectibles & Cosplay, is located at 296 Mishawum Road, in the Woburn Mall.
Taking over for Harrison's Comics, Counterplay has held onto a large selection of comics titles, but is also offering collectibles like vintage toys and video game systems.
It also specializes in items for cosplay, the practice of dressing up as favorite comics or pop-cultural characters at conventions. The wide selection of items on offer now includes everything from Harry Potter-themed jewelry to vinyl records.
Counterplay Comics, Collectibles & Cosplay has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.
John M., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on June 11, wrote, "This used to be Harrison's, but the store seems to be run much better, and the layout is easier to find comics."
