A new Italian spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The newcomer, called Molinaro Ristorante, is located at 2 PPG Place, in the former Poros space.

The restaurant was opened by Mt. Lebanon Il Pizzaiolo founder Ron Molinaro and business partner Bob Wolfinger.

The high-end dining experience boasts a tuxedoed waitstaff and a menu that includes starters, antipasti, salads, pizza, homemade pasta and entrees.

The new arrival has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 4-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.

William G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 17, wrote, "Management has clearly done their homework. Molinaro is a fine dining experience located in the heart of Pittsburgh's Market Square."

Yelper Jay G. added, "This place is what Pittsburgh was missing and I'm going to be a regular."

And Bethany H. wrote, "We came for the soft opening, and although the wait was extremely long, the staff was so friendly and very accommodating and the food was to die for.
