A new international market has debuted in downtown West Dearborn. Called Charlie's Market, the fresh arrival is located at 940 Monroe St.
Shoppers will find an eclectic selection of packaged snacks, fresh breads, juices, and kitchen staples, along with fruits and vegetables. Also available are freshly prepared foods like deli sandwiches, salads and pizza.
The shop features many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean options including halal meats, feta cheese and from-the-deli hummus, falafel and stuffed grape leaves.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has already made a good impression.
Abe W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 23, wrote, "Such an amazing, family-oriented, small, sweet, yet cheery and amazing little one-stop shop for anything you could possibly want to eat from all around the world."
And Maha A. wrote, "Love the look, both interior and exterior. The woman and gentleman working behind the fresh bread counter were so helpful and sweet in assisting us. The variety of things in this store makes it convenient for the folks in the area. Some things are hard to find outside this place."
The market is open daily from 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
