Mount Lebanon just got a little bit sweeter: a new candy and sweets store has opened its doors in the neighborhood.

Located at 695 Washington Rd. in Mount Lebanon, in the former Piccadilly Artisan Yogurt space, the newcomer is called Grandpa Joe's Candy shop. This is the sixth Grandpa Joe's location, with additional locations in the Strip District, Beaver and Ohio.

The shop sells a variety of candies, chocolates and sweets, including hard to find Necco wafers. Grandpa's also sells novelty items like socks, magnets and toys. Customers can either visit the store or place orders online.

Grandpa Joe's Candy shop has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a four-star rating thus far.

Arlene M., who is the sole Yelper to review the new spot, wrote, "They also have what is called the 'candy buffet,' where you are given a box and you can fill it until it closes for only $5.00. I purchased a dark overboard truffle and it was literally to die for. Prices are very reasonable."

Head on over to check it out: Grandpa Joe's Candy shop is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m.–9 p.m. on Saturday.
