A brand-new cafe has opened its doors in Troy. Called Village Cafe, the family-run restaurant serves classic American breakfast and brunch at 3672 Rochester Road.

On the breakfast menu, offerings include a salmon-stuffed omelet with capers, asparagus and cream cheese; a spicy chicken wrap with jalapeños and Swiss cheese; and eggs Benedict served with an English muffin, crabcakes, spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Lunch features sandwiches (BLT, Reuben, grilled cheese), plus salads, soups and quesadillas. 

With a four-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp so far, the new cafe is getting solid feedback from clientele.

Diba R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 17, wrote, "Very homey brunch place! Classic American breakfast, great table service, owner personally came to each table and made sure everything was alright and greeted us. Food came at a decent time. Will definitely be back."
