Detroit Shipping Company

Detroit Shipping Company is a new food court in a building designed to look like a big shipping container.

Food stalls include Bangkok 96 Street Food, Coop Caribbean Fusion and Brujo Tacos & Tapas. Three more spots are coming soon: Motorburger, Bread Meats Bread and 320 Coffee & Creamery. (You can learn more about the individual stalls, including menu information, here.)

Besides the food options, you can check out its art installations, listen to live music and shop in its pop-up retail spaces. Events also happen on a regular basis.

Detroit Shipping Company has gotten off to an uneven start thus far, with a three-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.

Jenny P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 15, wrote, "Wow what an cool concept! Very hipster. Great place to hang with friends! This place is a bar, cafeteria and a gallery. All in one! There's indoor and beautiful outdoor seating."

And Nicole E. wrote, "It's a cool, hip concept. Second floor is decked out with paintings and some bar seating while you people watch the main floor."

George Gregory

George Gregory is a spot to score men's clothing, accessories and more.

The new shop carries brands like Yellow 108, Bridge & Burn, Civil Society, Publish Brand, Katin USA, Komono and Ebbets, among others. Its casual and business-casual clothing ranges from sizes S-XXXL.

It has just one review on Yelp thus far, which puts it at five stars.

Yelper Andy L., who reviewed the store on July 8, wrote, "I love George Gregory. It's Detroit's finest option for quality men's apparel, with an inspired selection of chambray button-ups, colorful prints and style-forward accessories; it's a must-visit for guys looking to jazz up their look."

Check it out for yourself: George Gregory is open 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and from noon–5 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

ChickP Detroit

ChickP Detroit is a fast-casual Mediterranean spot, offering pita wraps, hummus bowls and more.

The restaurant comes from the team behind the nearby Chickpea in the D and Italian sandwich shop La Pecora Nera, reports Eater Detroit.

Menu items include the Hottie wrap (falafel, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, hot pepper tahini and house sauce), the Turkey Delight (turkey breast, hummus, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and feta) and the hummus bowl (with falafel, tomato, onion, pickle, cucumber and tahini). With just one review on Yelp thus far, ChickP Detroit currently has a five-star rating.

Denise F., who reviewed the new spot on July 12, wrote, "I am a fan of Chickpea in the D, so I was hoping I would like this one. Restaurant was nice and clean. The service was fast and friendly. Their falafel was fantastic. We tried the Hottie, Turkey Delight and the hummus bowl. All were really tasty."
