Roots Legends is an "experimental gallery concept" from Canadian outdoor apparel and accessories brand Roots, per a company news release.

A series of exhibits tell the story of the brand, which was founded in the 1970s and makes clothing, leather goods and footwear at factories in Canada. You can try on and buy some of their most well-known products, like the Salt & Pepper sweats, fleeces and handbags. Personalize them in-store with badges and patches.

It's still early days for Roots Legends, which has just one review on Yelp thus far.

Yelper Sean P., who reviewed the store on July 7, wrote, "There are five exhibits throughout the gallery that offer sensory experiences to demonstrate what makes Roots truly unique. The space before the gallery is dedicated to their iconic Salt & Pepper line with Boston-specific branding you won't find anywhere else. There is another room in the back that is more akin to a regular Roots retail location."

Roots Legends is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.

Blue Bottle Coffee

Next up, Blue Bottle Coffee is the San Francisco Bay-originated brand that is rapidly expanding thanks to investments from Swiss food conglomerate Nestlé.

At this outlet in the Prudential Center, you'll encounter an Ikea-like design sensibility, with blonde woods and curved furniture, that contrasts with the ubiquitous and distinctive blue bottle symbol.

As for the coffee, you'll find classic espresso drinks made with the company's house roasts, as well as New Orleans-style iced coffee and cold brew. For non-coffee drinkers, there's hot chocolate, black or green tea, and Cascara Fizz, a sparkling soda made with the fruit that grows around coffee beans. Belgian waffles are also on the menu.

Blue Bottle Coffee is getting a favorable response so far with a current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of 11 reviews.

Yelper Nicky E., who reviewed it on July 7, wrote, "The New Orleans was creamy, nutty, and delicious. The perfect blend that wasn't bitter or overpowering. Really, an ideal cup of coffee. I also treated myself to a waffle."

Yelper Stephanie N. wrote, "Expert and friendly service, even with a super-long line. We got a Colombian drip and a mocha, both of which tasted fresh and nuanced, with a rich and rounded sweetness in the mocha, which I love. Gorgeous spot to boot."

Blue Bottle Coffee is open from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.

Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse

Finally, and also in the Prudential Center, there's Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse. The upscale Texas-based chain does primarily steak, seafood and wine.

On the menu, you'll find seafood like seared Chilean sea bass, broiled lobster tail and lump crab cakes. Steak cuts include 8- or 12-ounce filet mignon, 24-ounce porterhouse and a 32-ounce wagyu rib-eye.

A large circular bar in the center of the room offers wine, cocktails and beer.

Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse currently holds four stars out of six reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Wine A., who reviewed the steakhouse on Aug. 8, wrote, "Del Frisco's on the waterfront is a favorite, so had to check out the new place in Back Bay. It doesn't disappoint. They did an amazing job with the decor. Wine is center stage with rows of wines behind glass walls."

Yelper Michelle D. wrote, "The rib-eye was melt-in-your-mouth. The sides (Brussels sprouts, asparagus, potatoes, creamed corn) were to die for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, atmosphere or service."

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight on weekends.
