Ready to discover the newest businesses to open in Los Angeles? From a bustling culinary complex to a pop-up plush exhibit, read on to see the newest spots to open their doors around town.
The Fields LA

The Fields LA is an urban food hall that recently debuted at 3939 S. Figueroa St. in Exposition Park, adjacent to Los Angeles Football Club's Banc of California Stadium.
Featuring award-winning chefs and restaurants, the spot includes nine different vendors serving a variety of cuisines, ranging from seafood and rustic fried chicken to market-inspired American soul food and Roman-style pizza. (Visit the website here for the full list of eateries.)
An outdoor patio serving beer and cocktails is on hand as well, along with a playful upstairs space containing games, live entertainment and a DJ booth.
Mestizo

Mestizo is a new spot to score coffee, tea and more at 4876 Fountain Ave. in East Hollywood.
Expect to find espresso drinks such as iced cappuccinos, lattes and mochas, along with artisan offerings like Turkish coffee, flat whites and mestizo/drip. (View the espresso list here.)
Toasts, pastries and a "berry" menu featuring bowls of healthful ingredients are also available. Come try the Verde — consisting of cranberry juice, strawberries, banana, kale, spinach and mango; and topped with granola, banana, strawberry and dulce de leche. (See the full menu here.)
Alfred Coffee

Head over to 3515 Wilshire Blvd. in Koreatown and you'll find Alfred Coffee, a spot serving coffee, tea, light bites and pastries.
The coffee shop — with additional locations in Tokyo, Austin and throughout Los Angeles — is situated adjacent to the lobby in Los Angeles' LINE Hotel and serves up classic and matcha espresso drinks, as well as signature offerings such as $10 matchas and lattes. (You can view the menu here.)
Yelper Rebecca F., who reviewed it Aug. 15, wrote, "The lemon meringue croissant was everything! The marshmallow-like cream on top really set it off! If I lived in L.A., I would order coffee from here over Starbucks!"
Sparrow Mart

Sparrow Mart is a pop-up exhibit courtesy of British artist Lucy Sparrow that can be found at 550 S. Flower St. in the Standard Hotel downtown.
This unique L.A. supermarket is filled with over 31,000 felt groceries, Artnet news reports, ranging from fresh produce and deli meats to cigarettes and cleaning supplies.
Come shop the Instagram-worthy 2,800-square-foot installation for handmade plush treasures like sushi, Chef Boyardee and Duracell batteries.
You better hurry. The pop-up will be closing up shop Aug. 31.
HomeGoods

New to 11211 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City is HomeGoods, a furniture store offering an ever-changing selection of merchandise from around the world.
The national chain — with locations situated throughout the United States — offers products ranging from home accents and rugs to kitchen essentials and seasonal decor, generally at lower prices than traditional retailers.
Yelper Tianne R., who reviewed the new addition on Aug. 15, wrote, "Brand-new HomeGoods in the old Office Depot location. ... The store is organized really well for now. But we will see how long this lasts because it's brand new, so who knows how long it will stay this clean. Huge selection and the entire space is full. Love it!"
