Interested in exploring the newest restaurant and retail additions to Seattle? From a coffee roaster to a cooking school, read on for a list of the newest hot spots to make their debuts around town.
Armistice Coffee Roaster

New to 2201 Eastlake Ave. East, Suite A, is Armistice Coffee Roaster, a coffee roastery and bakery. This spot's drink menu has traditional espresso drinks such as macchiatos, cortados, lattes and mochas, as well as hot and iced teas. Hungry? Grab one of the numerous pastries on offer, such as a croissant, muffin, scone, quiche or sandwich.
Yelper Dino G., who reviewed the new Eastlake business on July 21, wrote: "Customer service is simply five stars. It's not just the coffee, it's also how that coffee is served, and Armistice does it best, hands down. "
Broadfork Cafe

Now open at 111 Queen Anne Ave. North, Suite 102, in Uptown, is Broadfork Cafe, which offers a vegan menu of sandwiches, salads, healthful bowls and more. It's the cafe's second location in the city.
Options include the Plant Protein Bowl with baked tofu, quinoa, raw veggies, clover sprouts and sesame seeds and the BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Sandwich with barbecue sauce, jackfruit, carrots, cabbage and cheesy cashew sauce.
Other menu items include juices and smoothies like the Flu Buster Juice, served hot with apple, orange, lemon, ginger, garlic and cayenne.
Frog Legs Culinary Academy

Wander over to 2643 N.E. University Village St. and you'll find Frog Legs Culinary Academy, a cooking school that has an on-site sweet shop offering fresh-baked cookies and edible cookie dough (made without eggs).
Owner Laura Vida started the business in her home before opening her first storefront in Kirkland, per its website. Frog Legs has now expanded to University Village with its array of cooking classes for children and adults.
Classes are available as semester-long sessions or as single-day offerings on the weekend. Kids classes begin with active time and end with taste testing. No experience necessary: all people, novice or expert, are welcome at Frog Legs. Check the website for a complete list of classes, availability and more information.
Celest Cafe

Stop by 1100 N. 115th St. in Haller Lake and you'll find Celest Cafe, a gluten-free and vegan spot. After a Crowdfunding campaign raised the necessary funds, the cafe officially opened on July 7. Celest uses organic ingredients whenever possible.
The menu includes small plates, juice and caffeinated beverages. Notable menu options include breakfast taco wraps with black beans, almond ricotta quiche with purple potatoes and roasted veggies, cucumber salad and lasagna. Pair a drip coffee, herbal tea or orange juice with your meal. (See the full menu here.)
Patterson Cellars

Patterson Cellars is a new wine tasting room that's located at 3861 First Ave. South. The SoDo spot is the first Seattle brick-and-mortar location for the Woodinville-based business. The tasting room is housed in a loft space with an outdoor patio, which the company shares with nine other Washington wineries.
Wine options include chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and rose. Flights come in samplers of five or six wines.
