A newcomer to Lower Lawrenceville, Chocolate Moonshine is a chocolatier located at 1000 Ross Park Drive. This sweet shop sells chocolate moonshine fudge bars and gourmet fudge in specialty flavors like French vanilla, creamy peanut butter, maple walnut, café au lait, pecan and Belgian chocolate. 

Alquisiras Paleteria

Alquisiras Paleteria is a Mexican spot offering popsicles, ice cream and more at 2056 Broadway Ave. in Beechview. Not only does this new joint feature homemade popsicles in flavors like strawberries and cream, lime, and dairy-free mango; but it also offers a selection of savory items like chicken tostadas, seasoned corn on the cob, chorizo gorditas and bistec quesadillas. 

Gloria Jean's Coffees

National chain Gloria Jean's Coffees has opened a new location in a historic building downtown at 201 Smithfield St. Check out the mocha coconut or the English toffee twist chillers, or go with something hot like the mocha truffle or the vanilla latte. Bagels, muffins and biscotti are also on offer. 

Molinaro Ristorante

Head over to 2 Ppg Place downtown and you'll find Molinaro Ristorante, an Italian spot serving pasta, pizza and more. 

On the menu, offerings include spaghetti pomodoro with cherry tomatoes, garlic and basil; lasagna served with mini meatballs, buffalo mozzarella, egg and scamorza cheese; scialatielli pasta with clams, cherry tomatoes, basil and olive oil; and cavatelli with mild sausage, broccoli rabe and pecorino. 

15° Fahrenheit Rolled Ice Cream

Frozen treat spot 15° Fahrenheit Rolled Ice Cream offers Thai-inspired rolled ice cream at 1722 Murray Ave. Squirrel Hill. This is the shop's second location.

Create your own frozen concoction by first choosing your ice cream flavor from options like matcha green tea, Thai iced tea or coffee. Then choose up to two mixers like Oreos and bananas, or strawberries and graham crackers before finally adding a topping like lychee, mochi, condensed milk or chocolate sauce.
