Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top ramen spots in Detroit, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to fill the bill.
1. Johnny Noodle King

Topping the list is Johnny Noodle King. Located at 2601 W. Fort in southwest Detroit, the Asian fusion eatery is the highest-rated ramen spot in the city, boasting four stars out of 574 reviews on Yelp.
Options include the Shoyu ramen, made from your choice of pork belly or shredded pork, nori, menma, scallions, egg, naruto and bonito, and Champon, which includes seafood, egg, black mushroom, cabbage, chili paste, wakame seaweed, scallions and bean sprouts. Vegetarian? Check out the veggie miso, which includes fried tofu, scallions, wakame and corn.
2. Urban Ramen

Next up is Midtown's Urban Ramen, situated at 4206 Woodward Ave. With 4.5 stars out of 123 reviews on Yelp, the spot to score ramen, poke and noodles has proven to be a local favorite. The restaurant originated in Hollywood and offers items like tonkotsu ramen, made with rich pork broth, thin noodles, tender pork chashu, green onion, kikurage, sesame seeds and marinated egg. Vegan options are also available.
3. Noodle Art

Downtown's Noodle Art, located at 555 E. Lafayette Ave. in the Greektown Casino-Hotel, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the spot to score ramen and noodles 4.5 stars out of 13 reviews. The menu features pork- and chicken-based broths that are made in-house, a glass-enclosed space and pop-art decor. In addition to ramen, Noodle Art serves Japanese fried chicken, hand-made pork dumplings, steak tataki and yellowtail sashimi, miso mustard beef short rib and cocktails.
