Minnesota WebFest 2018

The Minnesota WebFest has expanded the event to two days because of this year's amount of submissions, with a screening of pilot episode web series on Friday evening. Digital series will be reviewed and a panel will determine the winners. The event includes networking opportunities and panel discussions. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.

Fitbit Local Fitness Friday

Local Fitbit ambassadors will host this evening workout session at Hotel Ivy featuring high-intensity interval training and yoga flow. Music will be bumping the whole time. All levels of fitness and experience are welcomed to participate. Make sure to bring your own mat. A post-workout cocktail hour will take place at the hotel's bar.

Opening reception for Russian art exhibit

The Museum of Russian Art is unveiling its newest exhibit, "A Country in Porcelain: Figurines from the Soviet Era." Curator Masha Zavialova will give remarks and acknowledgment. Featuring over 80 rare porcelain pieces, this exhibition presents three-dimensional artworks produced by Soviet porcelain factories in Leningrad, Dulevo, Verbilki and other regional centers. The collection on display dates from the 1920s–1980s. Figurines depict Soviet Red Army soldiers, revolutionary sailors, collective farmers, children and more.
