Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top bakeries in Mt. Lebanon, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to go for freshly baked cakes, cookies and pastries.
1. La Gourmandine
Topping the list is La Gourmandine. Located at 300 Cochran Road, the French patisserie/cake shop and breakfast spot is the highest-rated bakery in Mt. Lebanon, boasting 4.5 stars out of 60 reviews on Yelp. It has three other outposts in the city.
The bakery makes breads, pastries, cakes, tartes, Danishes, quiches and more. In the display cases, you'll see decadent treats like croissants, pain au chocolats, palmiers, chouquettes, eclairs, madeleines and macarons.

2. Uptown Coffee
Next up is Uptown Coffee, situated at 723 Washington Road. With four stars out of 69 reviews on Yelp, the coffee shop and bakery has proven to be a local favorite.
The menu offers a variety of baked goods, including toasted almond cake, cinnamon pecan scones, raspberry oat bars, apple cinnamon coffee cake, pistachio biscotti, snickerdoodle cookies, Dutch apple pie and muffins. 3. Orbis Caffe
Orbis Caffe, located at 675 Washington Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the bakery, which offers coffee, tea, wraps and more, four stars out of 52 reviews.
Among its baked goods, you'll find vegan blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies, bread pudding, chocolate croissants, cinnamon twists, Italian cookies and more. The bakery offers custom-ordered cakes for any occasion, including birthdays, wedding and graduations, doughnuts, breads, cookies, muffins and more.
