A modern American restaurant and bar has opened its doors on the North Side. Located at 414 E. Ohio St., the fresh addition is called Siempre Algo and is in the space that formerly housed Schrim’s Garden Café.
Start off with Bavarian-style homemade pretzels, deviled eggs with foie gras or tuna tartare with compressed watermelon and spicy apricot citrus dressing. Entrees include seared and pan-roasted halibut served with barley and peas; roasted chicken with brandied chicken liver bread pudding and mushrooms; and pork shoulder with smoked red pepper marinade and black beans.
Thirsty? A number of signature cocktails are on offer like the bourbon-based Local Peach Smash with lemon juice and maple syrup. Here's the full menu.
The fresh arrival has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Jane S. wrote, “So excited this gem opened up so close to home. It's a perfect spot for a causal but delicious fresh dinner on a random weeknight or a romantic weekend date night."
And N G. wrote, "Met some friends for dinner and loved everything we tasted! I'm not a big fan of deviled eggs, but a friend is, so we tried them. They were fantastic! They were rich, creamy and packed with flavor."
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Siempre Algo is open from 5 p.m.–midnight on Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
