Poke World/Utepia Tea is a combined poke and bubble tea spot. Tea choices range from bubble tea with real fruit to oolong milk tea with milk foam.

Hungry? Design your own poke bowl by choosing from shrimp, chicken and fish, plus veggies, toppings and sauces. All come served over rice or lettuce.

Poke World/Utepia Tea is off to a promising start with four stars out of seven reviews on Yelp.

Megan C., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 5, wrote, "I was pleasantly surprised by the drinks. I got the dark oolong bubble tea. The boba is on point — it tastes a lot like the boba back where I live (Shanghai). The bubbles are well cooked and there is a perfect balance of tea flavor and creamer."

And Leon C. wrote, "This is the best poke restaurant in Baltimore, very fresh ingredients and good service. Their tea is very different but in a good way. I'd highly recommend everyone to try it out."

Poke World/Utepia Tea is open from 10:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, and noon–9 p.m. on Sunday.

TSAOCAA is another Taiwanese chain that is expanding in the United States. Located inside the Inn at the Colonnade (DoubleTree Hotel), the cozy new shop offers a large selection of teas such as cheese blueberry, rose oolong and peach milk tea. Customers can adjust sweetness to taste and add toppings like strawberry boba and grass jelly. (Explore the full menu here).

The café's signature dessert is Hong Kong-style eggettes, a puffy, egg-based waffle. There's also French toffee pudding and matcha tofu.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp, TSAOCAA has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Shulin J., who visited the tea shop on July 3, wrote, "You might need to wait a bit to get your order, because they have to prep from scratch instead of dunking in tea powders as the substitute. But trust me, it's totally worth the wait. "

And Megan F. noted, "Hidden gem in Baltimore! It has many great tea flavors. It is super conveniently located near the Hopkins campus. I tried the uji matcha with the matcha milk foam. It was super delicious and definitely could taste the matcha flavor."

TSAOCAA is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
