Youth and Education Committee Hearing

First, show your support for Baltimore City Public Schools with your presence at the City Council Youth and Education Committee Hearing at City Hall. Learn about implementation of the 2017 Arts Education Strategic Plan and Goals, hear from district leaders and get tips on advocating for the arts in your school. Green Apple Day of Service

Next, U.S. Green Building Council Maryland is hosting its Green Apple Day of Service in support of Garrett Heights Elementary and Middle School. Volunteers are needed to help with painting, tree planting, gardening and lawn clean-up. It's part of an international movement of nearly a million volunteers in over 70 countries celebrating the central role that schools play in preparing the next generation of global leaders. Attendees should dress for outdoor work in clothes that can get dirty.

Bach in Baltimore: Bach-Appella

Finally, Bach in Baltimore is presenting its annual Free Fall Baltimore concert. It will feature a capella music from ancient times to the baroque era, as well as American choral classics. Bach in Baltimore sponsors this and other concerts to further its mission to bring our community closer together and to help solve social problems.
