
If you wanted to be taken out to the ball game but couldn't score tickets, all is not lost. There are plenty of top-notch sports bars in San Antonio to catch the World Series, all of which have more to offer than your typical stadium hot dog, nachos and overpriced beer.
Using Yelp data and our own methodology, Hoodline crunched the numbers to come up with the best sports bars where you can view baseball's biggest series.
1. Anchor Bar

Topping the list is Anchor Bar. Located at 4553 N. Loop 1604 West, Suite 1133, within the Ridge Shopping Center, it is the highest rated sports bar in San Antonio, boasting 4.5 stars out of 231 reviews on Yelp.
The sports bar and eatery offers menu items like wings with celery and blue cheese (sauces include Garlic Parmesan, Chipotle BBQ and Suicidal); the White Pizza with olive oil, chopped onion, tomato, Parmesan and mozzarella; and Roast Beef on Weck (slow-roasted beef piled high and served on a kimmelweck roll). Yelper Sheryll Q., who reviewed it on Oct. 14, wrote, "Awesome sports bar. Loud during the weekends due to the football games or any other games. They have tons of TVs inside the restaurant or outside on the patio. Staff were very helpful and very fast. Wings are delicious!"
2. Cover 3

Next up is Cover 3, situated at 1806 N.W. Loop 1604. With four stars out of 307 reviews on Yelp, the sports bar and New American restaurant has proven to be a local favorite. It serves beer, wine and spirits and has several TVs tuned to the game.
The menu features dishes such as the Hong Kong salmon with sautéed shiitake mushrooms, scallions and spinach in a soy-ginger broth; the meatball sliders with marinara, mozzarella and fresh basil; and the Hickory Burger with cheddar, applewood bacon, pickles, onion and hickory sauce. 210 Ceviche, located at 9502 Interstate 10 West, Suite 101, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the sports bar and seafood restaurant four stars out of 251 reviews.
The menu offers a variety of ceviches, including the 3 Amigos (citrus-cured fish, shrimp and octopus with red onion and cucumber), the Mar Rojo (citrus-cured fish in hibiscus flower with onions and cucumber) and the Toreado (lemon-cured ahi tuna with caramelized onions, jalapeños and soy sauce). 4. Armadillos Texas Style Burgers

Finally, over in Tobin Hill, check out Armadillos Texas Style Burgers, which has earned four stars out of 133 reviews on Yelp. You can find the sports bar at 1423 McCullough Ave. It has a second location on McCullough Avenue.
Offering Texas-style burgers with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion, it has options like the Fiesta Burger with refried beans, pico de gallo, fried tortilla chips and cheddar cheese; the Mushroom Burger with sliced and sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese; and the Chili Cheeseburger with homemade chili.
