A new fast-casual eatery has opened its doors in Troy. Called Grill Fresh, the new arrival is located at 1175 E. 14 Mile Road. This is the restaurant's second location after the one in Gainesville, Florida.
On the menu (which you can see here), you build your own bowl, choosing from either the Six Bowl (two bases, two veggies and two proteins) or the Four Bowl (two bases and one veggie and one protein).
Bases include kale salad, brown rice and potatoes, with vegetable options such as grilled mushrooms, carrots and grilled zucchini. When it comes to proteins, there's grilled chicken, tofu, Cuban roast pork and more. Finish off your bowl with sauces and toppings.
With a four-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, Grill Fresh is off to a promising start.
Yelper Nathan G., who reviewed it on Sept. 5, wrote, “Smaller, family-owned place, very friendly. Great selection of healthy options that are prepared in front of you and the proteins aren't pre-cooked and sitting around. Food is very good and fresh, great quick lunch or dinner option."
And Jeremy B. noted, "Great selection of vegetarian, vegan and lean protein [options]. The small bowl is sufficient for one person, the Four and Six bowls are big enough to share. Check it out!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Grill Fresh is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
