Detroit has risen to third place among U.S. cities in hiring for clinical social workers, according to new positions posted last month on jobs site Glassdoor. The city also ranked third in new job openings for clinical dietitians and CT technologists.
Comparing across the country, the U.S. city with the most new positions for clinical social workers last month was Boston. Boston has a slightly smaller population, at 658,279 compared to Motor City's 683,443, according to 2016 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Communities Survey.


Other occupations are also in high demand in Detroit area cities. For instance, Dearborn ranked fifth among U.S. cities in new openings for embedded software engineers.
