There are plenty of Middle Eastern spots to choose from in Dearborn, but where to find the best of the best?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top-rated Middle Eastern places in the area, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture next time you're on the hunt.

1. Shatila Bakery

Topping the list is Shatila Bakery. Located at 14300 W. Warren Ave., the bakery is the highest rated Middle Eastern eatery in Dearborn, with four stars out of 557 reviews on Yelp.

The well-known bakery makes everything it sells, including its pistachio ice cream and chocolate candies. Look for the baklava, French-style mille-feuille and roll cakes.

2. Zo's Good Burger

Next up is East Dearborn's Zo's Good Burger, situated at 14311 Michigan Ave. With 4.5 stars out of 139 reviews on Yelp, this all-halal burger joint serves fast food with a Middle Eastern twist.

All its bacon is turkey bacon, and customers can build their own burgers with as many patties and different toppings as they like. Yelpers praise its Cajun fries and mozzarella sticks as well.

3. Al-Ameer

Al-Ameer, located at 12710 W. Warren Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving it four stars out of 424 reviews for its classic falafel and shawarma plates, chicken kebab sandwiches and fattoush salad. The restaurant also has plenty of plates to tempt vegetarians.

4. Sahara

Sahara, a café offering sandwiches, salads, soup and more in Ford Historic District, is another much-loved go-to. It has earned 4.5 stars out of 126 Yelp reviews for its great service, generous portions and reasonable prices.

5. The Butchers Grille & Market

Finally, also in the Ford Historic District, check out The Butchers Grille & Market, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 126 reviews on Yelp. Reviewers love its skewers of sujuk (spicy sausage) and makanek (Lebanese lamb-beef sausage). You can find the grill and halal butcher combo at 22713 Michigan Ave.
